City Appoints New Librarian

The City of Radford announced, Tuesday August 31, 2010 that Toni Cox had been appointed as the Director of the Radford Public Library. She will replace Ann Fisher who is retiring September 30, 2010 after thirty -three years of service. (more…)

Wildwood Park Permanently Protected With Easement

Over the centuries, Wildwood Park in downtown Radford has been a Native American burial ground, a saltpeter mine, the site of a Civil War battle, and the city’s first park. Today, it contains a city greenway for recreation and nature study, with biking and hiking trails, marshes, meadows, limestone cliffs, and numerous rare species. (more…)
