Radford High School Marching Band


The 2008 Radford High School Marching Band season was a huge success; earning the following honors as they wowed crowds across the region:
 
     

Sept 27th – Chilhowie Marching Band Festival
The band competed in class 3A and received:
A Superior Rating
1st Place Marching
1st Place Music
2nd Place General Effect
Class 3A Sweepstakes Winner (first place)
The highest field score of the day out of 23 competing bands classes 1A-4A

 

 Oct 4th – Music in the Castle in Bristol, TN
The band competed in class 2A and received:
Best Music
Best Visual
Best Overall Effect
Best Percussion
Class 2A Champion
Oct 18th – VBODA State Marching Band Festival in Pulaski, VA (ratings only festival)
The band competed in class 1A and received:
A Superior Rating		 Oct 25th – The Cavalier Classic at Lord Botetourt HS in Daleville, VA

Mr. Daniel Frankenberger serves as the Band Director, overseeing 50 band members in 8th-12th grade.
