Mission

Established by the City code of ordinances Sec. 2-303. The municipal forest shall be under the control and management of the commission on beautification and municipal forests. The members of the commission shall be the trustees of and for the municipal forests. The commission on beautification and municipal forests shall provide for the removal or replacement of all trees, shrubs, and other plantings upon city property and the development of a continuing plan and program for new and renewal plantings, trimmings, transplanting of trees, shrubbery, and other plantings within the city consistent with the best practices of conservation and beautification. The commission shall have no authority or control over the operation of any department of the city.

Meetings:

The Radford City Beautification and Forestry Commission conducts business during meetings held the first Monday of each month at the Radford Recreation Center.
