Located
at 701 17th Street, the Radford Electric Department (RED) is one of more
than 2000 nationwide publicly owned electric utilities serving the
citizens of its community. Known as a Municipal Utility in the electric
industry, the RED serves residential, commercial, and industrial customers
within the City of Radford. RED has the capability to meet any customer’s
power demand and service voltage requirements.

Potential customers will need to complete an application from
the Billing Office and obtain an approved inspection from the Building
Official before service can be provided. These offices can be reached at
