Property GIS Information and Tutorial The Property GIS is a cooperative project between the GIS Department, Commissioner of the Revenue and the Engineering Department. SKIP INSTRUCTIONS AND GO TO THE PROPERTY GIS This web application provides access to addresses, parcels, tax lots and buildings data. The parcels and tax lots are both linked to the 2007 tax assessment. A parcel is an individual piece of land, and tax lots are representations of all the parcels owned under a tax account. The red line in the below image is the tax lot boundary. The black lines inside the tax lots are the parcel boundaries.
Property information can be obtained two ways: 1) Use one of the queries (search for address, search for owner, search by tax account or search by map-text) located in the upper left of the screen The result will be display in the result window, click on the plus symbol (+) to see the records. Right clicking over the record will give you the option to zoom to record and highlight the record on the map. The tax card link will take you to the tax card, which contains all the property information.
2) Or navigate to the property on the map with the navigation tools and then click on the land using the identify tool
