Lamplighter Book Sale – POSTPONED

	The Lamplighter Booksale scheduled for this weekend has been postponed due to the expected Wintery weather. Look for the rescheduled sale on the first weekend in March.

Snuggle Up With Peter Rabbit

Sign-ups for our Winter Reading Program begin Monday, February 1st. Pick up your reading log in the Children’s Department of the Radford Public Library. This program is open to children from birth through 1st grade. Write down the books you read to your little one and when the reading log is full – you’ve finished! Every child that finishes will be given a Beatrix Potter book.
The last day to collect your prize is Friday, March 5th.

Adult Story Time With Brack

The Brown Bag Book Club meets Wednesday January 13th in the library meeting room from noon until 1:00 P.M. Bring a brown bag lunch if you would like and the library will provide the beverage and dessert.

Between December 28 and December 30, the library will close at 5:00. The library will be closed December 31, January 1, 2, and 3 for the New Year Holiday.
The library will reopen Monday, January 4 and resume regular hours.

Come listen to a Christmas Holiday themed story time “A Christmas Memory” by Truman Capote, presented by Brack Stovall. “A Christmas Memory” is one of the more famous Capote stories. The narrative focuses on country life, friendship, and the joy of giving during the Christmas season.

Now a holiday classic, “A Christmas Memory” has been broadcast, recorded, filmed, and staged multiple times, in award-winning productions.

	All 4th-6th Graders are invited to this book discussion group at the Radford Public Library. The book for December is The Floating Island by Elizabeth Haydon. Drop in for great conversation, snacks, games and tons of fun.

Swap Shop

Here’s how the Swap Shop works. Residents having items in working, useable condition bring them to the Radford Public Library on December 12. Residents in need of items visit the Swap Shop looking for the items. If the items are available, they take them.

“Swapping” extends both the life of the items and the life of the landfill.

Call to tell us what you would like to bring to trade.

Chemistry Club

Learn about the magic of chemistry at the Radford Public Library. Radford University’s Chemistry Club will put on a Magic Show using the secrets of chemistry. Learn about molecules and states of matter while being amazed. You don’t want to miss the blender cannon finale! For kids in 1st grade and up.
