The Radford Police Station, located at 601 West Main Street, is open from 8:30 - 5:00, Monday through Friday.  The Communications office is available 24 hours a day at (540)-731-3624.  Call 911 for any emergencies.

1.   

Crime Reporting - Crimes committed in Radford can be reported by calling the Radford Police Communications Office at (540)-731-3624, twenty four hours a day, 365 days a year.  All emergencies should be reported by dialing 911 immediately.

Parking Permits - Parking along many of the City's East Side streets is limited to four hours without a permit.  Permits can be obtained, free of charge, to any residents living along one of these 4 hours zones.  Please bring a copy of your lease or letter from landlord, you auto registration, and a valid photo ID to the Police Department from 8:30 - 5:00, Monday through Friday.  The following streets are considered four hour zones:

Calhoun St
Clement St
Davis St
Downey St
Fairfax St (not 702, 703, or 704)
Grove Ave
Howe St (not 704)
Lawrence St
Jefferson St
Madison St
Pickett St (including Municipal Lot)
1st Ave
2nd Ave
3rd Ave
East Main St (ONLY 1113 and 1085)

3.   

Parking Tickets - All parking tickets may be paid by mail or in person.  This can be done at the Treasurer's Office, located in the Radford City Court House at 619 2nd Street, from 8:30 - 5:00, Monday through Friday.

Complaints - To file a complaint against an officer, please come down to the Police Station and fill out a complaint form.  Complaints will not effect the outcomes of any pending cases and each complaint will be investigated to determine if any violation was committed by the officer.  The complaint form can also be found here, but still must be brought down to the department and handed over to a supervisor.

Ride Alongs - The Radford Department of Police offers police ride alongs to citizens free of charge.  Ride alongs can be set up by filling out a form at the police station. The form can also be found here.

Report Requests - Copies of police reports can be obtained by coming to the police station Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5:00. Reports are usually available 5-7 days after the incident occurs. Please know the date, location, and type of incident for the report you are requesting and be ready to show ID.  The form for report request can be found here.

House/Business Checks - House checks will be done on a daily basis for anyone wishing to have their house check on while out of town.  Please come down to the station to fill out a form, or download it here, fill it out, and bring down to the station.

8.   

Concealed Weapons Permits  - Applications to obtain concealed weapons permits may be picked up at the Radford Municipal Building at 619 Second Street, Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm
