The Radford City Narcotics Unit consists of two Detectives. Both of these individuals are specially trained to deal with narcotics investigations.  Their main purpose is to investigate the sale of illegal narcotics in and around the City of Radford. Radford City also joined the Pulaski-Radford Drug Task Force in the summer of 2005. The officers on this task force are sworn in through the State Police, which allows them to investigate cases outside of Radford. The Narcotics Unit works closely with Federal Officers and prosecutes Federally when the right criteria are met. The Narcotics Unit usually works undercover purchases of illegal narcotics and search warrants.
