Comprehensive Plan
- This Comprehensive Plan Update provides a long‐term vision for the future of Radford, and builds upon the City’s 2001 Comprehensive Plan to make Radford a “Green” community that is truly the New River City by Establishing strong connections to the River. Major
themes that run throughout this Plan are identifying and implementing
“Green Infrastructure” initiatives that will
protect the
natural character of the City; diversifying the tax base through
residential, commercial and industrial development with significant
redevelopment opportunities, all in a sustainable manner; beautifying
the entire City and instilling pride throughout the community once
again; and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents,
students, tourists and businesses.
